Gone are the sounds of the old mill bell that summoned the mill workers. Gone are the creak of the water wheel, the clatter of power looms and the hum of the leather belts. Gone forever is that era that changed the world. Legacies of the Bancoft family are many and live on in our building and in the surrounding area. Historic Bancroft Mills is surrounded by natural beauty, yet it lies just minutes from the Center of Wilmington, Route 202 and Interstate 95. It is, in all respects, a gracious address for entertaining and a tranquil, convenient address for living. It is just a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of Wilmington, on a homeward route past the Delaware Art Museum, along the garden-lined Kentmere Parkway and though beautiful Rockford Park to enter the grounds of historic Bancroft Mills. The atmosphere inside the gracious entrance lobby is welcoming, it greats you and your guests with comfortable furniture and tasteful artwork.  In each condominium, the original heavy timber beamed ceilings and iron capped columns remain from the old mill. All of the condominiums enjoy riverfront views through large, deep sill windows.
Bancroft Mills Condominium is a community comprised of forty-six residential condominium units.  We are located in Wilmington, Delaware along the bank of the Brandywine River. Bancroft Mills Condominium is a restoration and adaptive reuse of two nineteenth century textile mill buildings.  Because of the architectural significance and its importance to the development of both the American textile industry and the City of Wilmington, Bancroft Mills has earned its place in history.  In 1984, Bancroft Mills was nominated to the National Register of Historic Buildings.

Our community website was developed to serve as an informative resource for both our neighborhood and our local community. Unit owners and tenants have additional access to resources including management company information, condo council member contacts, council meeting minutes, budget information, current rules,  regulations and procedures, frequently asked questions, and more.

The Bancroft Mills Homeowners Association Council currently consists of four volunteer members, each elected by the unit owners at an annual meeting held each year. The Council consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Council is the contracting authority for the community.

To reach the Council please use the "contact us" tab found on the website index.  We are happy to help in any way and would love to hear what is on your mind. Please feel free to contact us with your comments and suggestions.
